2011 is a little bit harder to make glasses out of... or at least ones that are practical to see out of. The price you must pay for some New Years Eve style, or is it time to move on?

P.S.- I Made This...

My sister gave me this amazing book for Christmas called; P.S. -I made this... I have spent hours sifting through the pages dying to get back into crafting myself. If you have not already checked Erica Domesek's Blog P.S.- I made this... you should jump to it! She is a genius and not to mention crafty! She is truly inspiring!

Sorry I am so behind with the holidays and quick trip out to the desert followed by being sick I have so much to catch you all up on! Stay tuned for some great posts to come!!

Get-A-Way

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

I just got back from a quick little trip out to Palm Springs, where the weather was perfect! It was a perfect little get away! Now back in Newport and just a few days before the big game (Rose Bowl) I am sick. Had to do my least favorite thing today... go to the doctor. Hopefully I will be 100 percent in time for Game Day on Saturday!!

Brussel Spouts Just Got Sweeter

Friday, December 24, 2010

All you need is a Brussel Sprout stalk, box of sugar and candies to decorate.

Where is the pot of gold, from all this rain?

Touch Gloves

Is this cold weather making it hard to use your iPhone while keeping your hands warm? These great new gloves from Echo keeps your hands warm while also allowing you to use the touch screen on your smart phones. Such great idea and the gloves are still stylish!

I am always looking for new ways to store my ever growing jewelry collection. When I was out shopping for Christmas gifts the other day I came across this Farmer's Egg Crate, that would be perfect to store your jewelry in, in an organized way because you can see each piece of jewelry.

With my current obsession with Lori Andrews and this miserable weather never ending, this picture only seemed fitting on this rainy morning.

Last minute gift ideas from the Third Drawer Down.

DIY

A few years ago I learned how to knit and never really kept it up. I keep finding cute knitted headbands that I want to buy and have decided that I can make them myself. I have turned my room inside out looking for my old knitting needles (which has forced me to intensely clean out my room.) I went to a bunch of different stores looking for new knitting needles and have been unsuccessful. My goal for tomorrow is to finding new knitting needles and remaster my knitting skills.

Brutus is not too happy about all this rain...

Amazing family picture by Lori Andrews

Stylish Fridge

I was out shopping with my mom at the store Fleur de Lys in Costa Mesa. They had this amazing fridge that had purple glass doors, if you are around the area its worth going by and taking a look at it in person!

Rain Rain Go Away

With the rain in the forecast for the next week, rain boots seem to be a must in order to stay dry on my last minute shopping trips. I love hunter boots here are two of my favorite picks; of course purple for TCU and the ridding inspired rain boots!

Crafting Time

Christmas is approaching rather quickly, I hope you are done with all your shopping because I am not and I am not looking forward to braving the stores. Don't have tons of money to spend but need to wrap your gifts to look cute and not cheep? Get creative.

Calm after the storm

The last few days have been crazy with my whole family out in Fort Worth for my graduation and then to Dallas for an early Christmas. It turned out to be a great weekend but it is nice to be home in Newport for a little while to relax and recharge. The only downfall is that it will be raining here till Christmas day so all the fun outside things I love to do will have to wait! Pictures to come soon!

Sketches

Thursday, December 16, 2010

I just came across this amazing little shop Inslee. They have everything from calendars, to sketchpads to note cards. The prints are fun and timeless, worth taking a second look at for sure!

On The Lookout

Last year I lived with 2 other girls who equally had a love for headbands as myself. So we decided to have one place where we kept all of our headbands. Our headband collection was amazing, every possible thing you could want was in the bin. Though after having to part from some of my favorite headbands I am always on the lookout for cute and different headbands to add to my solo collection.

Faux Fur Loving

My old roommate is in town and we went on a search for faux fur vests and were very unsuccessful. We decided to take the search online and found some awesome options!

Make Your Own Christmas Lighting

Want to spice up your christmas decorations this year with not too much extra effort. Make your own Christmas look-a-like chandler with ball ornaments. Hang them at different heights or all the same heights and in what ever shape to your liking. You can totally personalize the design, shape and colors to your liking and the lights you already have in the room will reflect off the ornaments.

Spice Up Your Jewelry Collection

Do you need new ways to display your jewelry but don't know how to brake past whats obvious? Try using items or dishes you may already have but currently use them for another function. Things such as soap dishes, little bowls and cake stands are a great starting place. I found some great ideas from Anthropologie.

New Spaces

I love when houses have exposed brick, it makes the space seem more real and alive. Here are some great pictures I found Laura Casey Interiors.
