Who do you want to spend the rest of your life with?

Tuesday, July 31, 2012

The person in life that you will always be with the most, is yourself. Because even when you are with others, you are still with yourself, too! When you wake up in the morning, you are with yourself, laying in bed at night you are with yourself, walking down the street in the sunlight you are with yourself. What kind of person do you want to walk down the street with? What kind of person do you want to wake up in the morning with? What kind of person do you want to see at the end of the day before you fall asleep? Because that person is yourself, and it’s your responsibility to be that person you want to be with. I know I want to spend my life with a person who knows how to let things go, who’s not full of hate, who’s able to smile and be carefree. So that’s who I have to be.

Finally Friday

Friday, July 27, 2012

After a long week of traveling I am ready to kick my feet up and relax! This looks like the ideal location to send a view hours doing nothing.  If only I had the time this weekend to partake in doing nothing...

Wall Art

Thursday, July 26, 2012

There is something about gallery walls that get me every time.  I love the mix of different colors, frames and textures.  They add so much character to a room that needs a little extra spunk.

Mixing Business and Pleasure

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

I just got back from a week in Tokyo for work.  I could never have imaged it to be as amazing as it was.  From the architecture, to culture, to the traditions it truly was an amazing eye opening experience.  I did not have that much time to explore but here are a few snapshots from my week abroad.

Tokyo

Thursday, July 19, 2012

I just got into Tokyo last night and am already loving it more than I could have imagined.  Everything is so clean, the people are so freindly and there is so much to take in! Check back for more updates!

White on White

Monday, July 16, 2012

I love how crisp and clean the color white is, no matter what time of year it is! I am not someone who follows the "no white after labor day"rule.  But in the summer I try to embrace the color as much as I can!  Here are some of my favorite white on white looks to start your week off right!

Delicious Eats

Friday, July 13, 2012

What better way to kick off the weekend then with some delicious watermelon mojito pops! Nothing says summer more than watermelon, mojitos and popsicles so why not combine them to make the perfect summer treat!

Watermelon Mojito Pops (makes 10 pops)
  • 1 3/4 watermelon juice (blend just over 4 cups of watermelon and pour through sieve, or you could use a juicer)
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 2 TBS honey
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint
  • 1/4 cup light rum
  • 1/4 cup club soda
Pour watermelon juice, lime juice, honey and mint into a blender and blend until you see tiny flakes of mint.
Pour mixture into a large measuring cup with a spout or a some kind of bowl with a spout (this will make pouring into the molds easier). Add rum and club soda. Stir to combine.
Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for at least 4 hours.

Wonderlust Wednesday

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

I have always been intrigued by Canada, but have never seemed to make it out there.  After seeing these mesmerizing pictures of Lake Lousie, it is only making that want even stronger!  What better place to relax then over looking this breathe taking view!

Bright Idea

Monday, July 9, 2012

I love a new notebook, especially one as cute as these Symthson ones.  Each with a cleaver saying and tons of bright fun colors to choose from, there will always be room to expand your collection.

Snap shots from the weekend

It has been a whirlwind weekend! From a fun night celebrating in San Diego to a great dinner party in the backyard with the family Saturday. To Dallas Sunday where I got to spend time with some dear friends and my grandparents. Ending the weekend out with a bang, seeing Jersey Boys which was even better than I ever imagined!
